I wish I could go back to coding for fun

Rather than coding for a job, or worrying about getting users, or worrying about getting funding, or anything related to getting a startup off the ground.
I think that’s why I’ll probably never make a startup. I don’t enjoy the process, the sleepless nights, the uncertainty in the future, and the sheet amount of work. Just takes the fun out of it for me.
I would much rather just have a nice job and do my projects on the side with little stakes. That way I can also not compromise with any of my projects to meet what users want because they can just be mostly for myself.
This would take a lot of the pressure out of creating them, and ultimately I think that’s what I want the most. To chill.
Part of the reason I decided to uninstall Facebook and Instagram just now was to take the pressure off of myself from checking them religiously. Now I have fewer things to do, which makes me happy :).
Of course you do get a lot of value out of both things, I am just slowly realizing that my mental health after these 11 weeks in quarantine is really bad, and it would probably get better if I just set myself up to have as few things to worry about as possible.
So that means fewer things to have to check every day, fewer distractions from my work so that I can just get my work done faster, and hopefully fewer digital tasks that I have to do so I can spend as much time as possible not looking at a screen for the sake of my eyes.
However, one of the reasons I like WordPress and I decided to go with it is that it’s mobile app is the best of all the blogging services by far (even blogger’s (both the official and unofficial ones).
I like this because when I’m alone and I just have my phone and I have things on my mind, I can just start typing a post and put them on my WordPress. I feel like usually my thoughts aren’t personal or controversial enough to not want to put on a public website, but if they are, I can always just make a note on Google keep or a personal doc or something with them I guess.
I feel like this allows me to write long form (which is much better at getting things off my mind and on paper then trying to prematurely condense my thoughts into 250 characters), which was the benefit I had previously with my social media mobile apps when I posted stuff on there.
This just gave me an idea of a markdown based social media. If you already have h1 and code tags native to the web, why not be able to write posts and messages to other people with them?
I initially thought it would be cool if people could use any html tags but you wouldn’t want people to be able to import malicious scripts.
Ok so yeah that’s all. I just wanted a place where I can say what I want which is this WordPress. And I wanted to fix my mental health which involves simplifying my life which I’ve done by uninstalling social media apps and hopefully logging out of them on computer too.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk. Thwack
